June 29 – July 1, 2009 – American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) Wildlife Management Techniques Course, Minneapolis, Minnesota USA – DeTect wildlife control expert, Ron Merritt, to present class segment on advanced airport wildlife control techniques including real-time bird radars and new acoustic deterrent devices. This course is the first of a two-part course in AAAE's Airport Wildlife Hazard Management Program and has been designed as an introductory workshop to airport wildlife management tools and techniques (see AAAE.org).
July 6-9 , 2009 - MERLIN Aircraft Birdstrike Avoidance Radar User Training, Panama City, Florida USA - 4-day intensive training class held at DeTect's Florida Training Center for current and prospective users including airports and military airfields and bird control units. September 8-9, 2009 – Aero-Europe Safety Conference, Deblin, Poland – DeTect will present a paper on the MERLIN Aircraft Birdstrike Avoidance Radar System and will exhibit at the conference.
September 14-17, 2009 – Bird Strike Committee USA-Canada Annual Conference, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada – DeTect is a Corporate Sponsor of the Conference, will exhibit and will host the 4th Annual Birdstrike BBQ & Music Jam with music by Turtlefoot from Panama City, Florida. October 6-9, 2009 – International Airport Europe, Munich, Germany – DeTect will exhibit its MERLIN Aircraft Birdstrike Avoidance Radar technology at the 29th annual Inter airport Europe which will bring over 13,000 visitors from all over the world.
