DeTect’s radar processing technology developed specifically for detection and tracking of non-cooperative, small, low radar-cross section, non-linearly moving targets make it one of the most sensitive, low cost radar systems on the market today for locating and monitoring a wide range of targets including aircraft, ultralights, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), helicopters, ships, boats and swimmers. The HARRIER security and surveillance radar provides full surveillance coverage ground level to altitudes up to 20,000 feet and allows the system to function as a multi-purpose sensor for simultaneous detection, alerting and tracking for airspace and marine monitoring and is an ideal, cost-effective solution for many force protection and homeland security applications.

HARRIER systems are offered in various base configurations that include the HARRIER Airspace Surveillance Radar (ASR), the HARRIER Marine Surveillance Radar (MSR), and the HARRIER Ground Surveillance Radar (GSR). With use of parallel processors, the HARRIER and also be provided as a dual function system providing ASR and MSR functionality from a single radar sensor or as a network of sensors. All HARRIER systems use state-of-the-art solid state Doppler radar technology available in S-, X- and combined S/X-band radar frequencies. Solid state radar technology offers significant increased performance, longer useful life and lower maintenance costs over conventional magnetron-based systems. HARRIER applications include a wide range of sites, types, sizes and configurations from single facilities to large-area or linear radar networks for force protection and facility security, including:

MERLIN Sentinel S30 Airspace Surveillance Radar displayHARRIER systems can operate as a stand alone security/ force protection radar system detecting and alerting perimeter intrusions on land, by air and on water. The system can be programmed to detect intruders (personnel, vehicles, ships, boats, aircraft, ultralights, UAVs) crossing a pre-set site perimeter, providing automated notifications to security forces. Alarm functionality can provide notification of security events via pager or cellular phone or direct to remote monitoring stations. HARRIER ASR systems can also be used as coverage gap filler radars to provide data for large-scale navigation and military surveillance radars in areas blocked by terrain or structures including wind turbine farms.

HARRIER
systems are use high speed scanning for enhanced small target detection in high clutter environments such as developed areas, terrain and high sea states. Systems are optimized for detection of small targets that includes surface swimmers, low-profile manually propelled watercraft, small motorized high-speed watercraft, floating objects, low flying aircraft and ultralights. Automatic detection and tracking includes user-defined Custom airport HARRIER with integrated radar, panoramic video and acoustic warning/deterrent features on a single displaymonitoring and alarm zones. Systems are offered in fixed and mobile configurations and can be linearly networked to cover large areas such as border crossings, coastlines and large facilities. DeTect's HARRIER technology is highly customizable providing radar, video, and thermal detection and acoustic deterrent through a single user interface display with advanced alerting and response features all controllable remotely.

HARRIER Air Surveillance Radar for Boeing Insitu Group for aircraft, ultralight and UAV detection and tracking

HARRIER S200 Airspace Monitoring Radar for Boeing Insitu Group, Seattle, Washington USA - Airspace surveillance support radar for aircraft, ultralight and unmanned aerial systems detection and operating support. The system includes a state-of-the-art solid state radar with Doppler processing for detection and tracking of cooperative and non-cooperative targets to ranges out to 30 miles. The system includes a lightning detection system and TCAS receiver unit. The system is currently in certification testing by the US Federal Aviation Administration for operational support.

Alaska Aerospace Development Corporation HARRIER Airspace and Marine Surveillance Radar system. Kodiak, Alaska, USA

HARRIER Airspace/Marine Surveillance Radar System, Alaska Aerospace Development Corporation, Kodiak Launch Complex - dual function HARRIER Airspace Surveillance Radar (ASR) and Marine Surveillance Radar (MSR) system to support rocket launch operations at its Kodiak, Alaska facility. The AADC Kodiak Launch Complex (KLC) is owned and operated by AADC and offers all-weather indoor processing, integration and checkout facilities for orbital and sub-orbital rocket launches. The HARRIER radar system is used to provide airspace and marine surveillance and intrusion control during launch operations with non-cooperative aircraft detection to 20+ miles and small boat and ship detection to 10 miles (see www.akaerospace.com).

HARRIER S30 ASR/WX/LX Radar System, The Insitu Group, Oregon USA - Detect designed, manufactured and supports a mobile HARRIER Airspace Surveillance Radar (ASR) system with weather monitoring (WX), lighting detection (LX) and secondary surveillance radar (SSR) data for ScanEagle Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) operations support. The system provides real-time aircraft see-and-avoid, weather and lightning detection information to the UAV operators with a 24 nm range. The ScanEagle UAV is used in the US in a wide range of applications including border surveillance, fire detection, marine monitoring and public event security.

HARRIER S30 Air Surveillance Radar, Central Wisconsin Airport USA - DeTect manufactured, installed and supports a HARRIER system used by the midwestern US airport to detect and track aircraft entering its airspace providing alerts to tower controllers. The system is a fixed install on the airfield and provides aircraft detection and tracking to 24 miles around the airport at altitudes up to 15,000 ft AGL.

HARRIER S30 ASR/WX/LX Radar System, Evergreen Unmanned Systems, Oregon USA - Detect designed, manufactured and supports a mobile HARRIER Airspace Surveillance Radar (ASR) system with weather monitoring (WX), lighting detection (LX) supporting A-20 Insight UAV operations. Evergreen concentrates on commercial, unmanned aerial surveillance with both maritime and land-based applications.
